Fellini News Update: Fellini @ 100
January 20, 2020 is the 100th anniversary of Federico Fellini's birth. Numerous film fests, academic investigations and celebrations are occurring around the globe throughout the year. Some of us simply celebrate with a hearty Italian pasta dinner and a viewing of a favorite Fellini film.
Here at the Felliniana Archive in Fort Worth Texas, USA, we are also celebrating the near completion of a many years long process of posting the complete archive on the Felliniana.com website. Several thousand items collected since the 1980's are now posted. The process of scanning, photgraphing and describing these items was challenging. It also allowed me to revisit the depth of the collection. I hope you will enjoy doing so, as well.
Anita Ekberg: 1931 - 2014
"Twenty-five years after the film, its title its image are still inseparable from Anita." -Federico Fellini, 1987
"It was I who made Fellini famous, not the other way around." -Anita Ekberg, 1999
Anita Ekberg, the fiery, outspoken muse and actress of Federico Fellini in his groundbreaking 1960 film, La Dolce Vita died Sunday, 11 January, 2015 at age 83. Known perhaps more for her physical attributes and highly charged sensuality than her acting abilities, she was "liberated" by Fellini when he chose her for the role of Sylvia in La Dolce Vita a role that, "only she could play."

Fellini News Update #18
1) Tutto Fellini Texas
The BIG news is the fulfillment of a ten year struggle to bring Tutto Fellini to my hometown, Fort Worth, Texas. After many false starts and dead ends, I finally found the right organization and the right people who were able to pull of such a daunting event.
Tina Gorski of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, bless her heart, hung in there for what turned out to be a much bigger challenge than originally expected. I’m sure she wanted kill me and maybe a few Italians along the way. But I never doubted success if we remained focused on the goal. We did, and that persistence has finally paid off.
